About Dr. Rebecca Baldassarri
I'm Rebecca Baldassarri, M.D., RYT-200
A parent, physician, and yoga teacher.
I created Yoga for Parents after discovering something unexpected: the greatest gift yoga gave me wasn't what happened during practice—it was what happened afterward.
After a traumatic birth, I found myself exhausted, disconnected from myself, and pushing through the demands of parenthood
Yoga showed me another way.
Over time, I realized the practice wasn't staying on the mat. It was changing the way I moved through my days—and through parenthood. On the days of little sleep, everyone sick, and short tempers. On days where it felt like a Herculean task to just to get out the door. And in the tiny, beautiful, fleeting moments that make up family life.
I discovered that yoga was changing the way I experienced parenthood—and in turn, the way I showed up with the people I love.
That’s why I created Yoga for Parents.
Today, I help parents discover that yoga isn't just something we do for an hour on a mat. It's a practice that we can tap into during the most ordinary, beautiful, and challenging moments in family life.
Through the Reconnection Path™, I combine the yoga and my experience as both a physician and a parent to help people cultivate a more sustainable way of moving through parenthood.
Every parent already has the capacity for steadiness, compassion, and wisdom—but under stress, these qualities become difficult to access.
Practice changes what’s available.
Whether we're practicing together in a class, a workshop, a Practice Circle, or simply through a weekly reflection, my hope is always the same:
That the practice begins to follow you home—because that’s where it matters most.
